We are setting a challenge for every coach, player, parent, sibling and family member of Brixington Blues to get involved with.
Brixington Blues, which is based in Exmouth is going to start the “Road To Wembley” from our beautiful beach. It’s 178 Miles from Exmouth beach to Wembley Stadium, let’s see if we can make it there as a club, together!
As a group we are looking to cover 178 Miles, we will do this to try and raise some money in the process for Exmouth Hospital and Hospiscare.
• If you are in our (U7’s-11’s) can you cover 2 miles?
• If you are a part of our (U12’s-16’s) can you cover 3 miles?
• If you are a coach, parent or other family member, can you cover your choice of the distances outlined above?
We know that everyone’s circumstances are very different. The time you have available, the opportunity to go outside and the space you have at home will all vary from person to person, so we are asking you to be as creative, innovative or pragmatic as you would like.
You could simply go outside and ‘pound the pavement’ to cover your distance, you could do it around the local park or football pitch, or you could even measure your garden or living room and cover the ground back and forth until we meet our target together. Complete it the old fashioned way and run it or maybe walk, cycle, skate board, unicycle, hop, skip or jump. Take part in the exercise alone, with your brothers and sisters or as a family.
All we ask is you have fun, make sure you take part safely, with adult supervision if needed, and keep in mind the Government guidelines on exercise and social distancing.
Feel free to participate and donate, or just to participate and share the link on social media or with your family and friends but let’s look to make a difference together and give a little back to those who need it right now, and get active in the process!
U7 to U16 players & families – Send distances via your coach before 15th May and we will collate the distances and let you know the grand total – hopefully as a club we’ll make it to Wembley!
